Welcome back to reality and the perfect time of year to make changes to your skin and body care. It’s time to reevaluate how you spend your precious time and money and consider different ways to improve your health and well being.
As we embark on my favorite time of year, it’s important to look at how summer has affected our skin. Even though, in our fair country, you may feel badly done to with the lack of sunshine,we have to admit that on the sunny days we have enjoyed, it’s likely there’s been a few negative effects on our skin, health and clarity.
Having your children at home for the summer, going away on holidays or just being out of routine means you’ve probably had less time for yourself than usual. And when you do get a little time it’s likely to been used as recovery rather than improvement.
So what do we do?
It’s easy to settle back into the same old routine. Up, school run, work, gym, eat, sleep…
Let’s try and figure out how on earth you find time to improve and relax and restore some balance.
Treatments in salon may seem decadent for some, but in reality, if it’s the only way to take yourself out of the routine for an hour a month then seriously, it can do so much to keep your momentum going and hopefully give you a little inspiration and knowledge.
My favorite treatment in salon is the Elemis Body Couture. With the option of an hour or 2 hours treatment, everyone can benefit from this intensive, relaxing and hard working treatment. Combining Elemis Freestyle Deep Tissue Massage and the perfect Elemis facial, this treatment works from head to toe to reenergize, relax and improve your mental and physical well being.
Reflexology is another favorite. Using specific massage points on the soles of the feet to balance our energies, the treatment is incredibly relaxing and deeply restorative for the mind and body.
Elemis Superfood Facial Oil
Lets talk products. If you really can’t spare the hours, there’s plenty of choice in the way of products to give you and your skin and huge boost in the Autumn.
Between the shift to dry, dehydrating weather and stress from back-to-school/ back-to-work adjusting, our skin and bodies are easily devitalized. This is why so many people experience skin imbalances during autumn such as dry patches, flakiness and eczema flare ups. Elemis Superfood Facial Oil has been designed to feed the skin and give a radiant glow going into Autumn. A natural blend of highly concentrated plant based superfoods deeply nourish and hydrate. Anti oxidant, omega rich Brocolli, flax seed and Daikon radish are all put to good use to soften, hydrate and restore beauty to your skin.
Many of us neglect our bodies as we head into jumper weather. As the weather deteriorates and we have less opportunity to show off our healthy glow, it’s even more important to look after the skin on your body.
This skin softening, aromatic body cream harnesses the powerhouse of ingredients grown in the idyllic British countryside, expertly blended with skin conditioning Milk Proteins and omega rich Echium oil, to deeply hydrate and nourish.
It’s too late, the day before your Christmas party, to start to look after your skin. Choose products that are light enough to get dressed quickly, but nourish and give radiance to a winter skin.
Hopefully you can take some inspiration from reading today. Look after yourself and give yourself the time and respect you deserve.
If there’s anything you’d like to read about in the future, please let me know. I’ll try my best over the next few months to cover a few new treatments and products on the market for winter. It’s such an amazing time for the beauty industry at the moment, there’s so many incredible opportunities to improve anything you could imagine. If you have any products or treatments you’ve loved recently It’d be amazing to hear about them. Let’s spread the love a little x
Thanks for reading ❤
